Since 2012 Graiguenamanagh Bike Hire has been operating a bicycle rental service for all ages that is swiftly becoming one of the most popular outings in the picturesque town of Graiguenamanagh. The reason is pretty simple, the Barrow river towpath makes an excellent cycling greenway that gives visitors miles of safe, traffic free adventure in beautiful countryside. As the towpath follows the river downstream to St. Mullins and stretches upriver as far as the grand canal in County Kildare you simply have miles and miles of countryside to explore.
Bike hire is at the Waterside Guesthouse located right in the heart of Graiguenamanagh. This medieval river town, nestled in the scenic Barrow Valley, is the perfect destination for hill walkers, cycling and boating enthusiasts, and all those in search of a traditional Irish welcome. Waterside Guesthouse is a carefully converted 19th century granite corn store on the banks of the river Barrow.
Tip: Make a night of it and overnight in the charming guesthouse. After a day cycling along the Barrow Valley you can enjoy lunch and refreshments and dine Al Fresco at the front of the Guesthouse taking in the scenic views.
