The Watershed is a sports and leisure facility in Kilkenny and one of Ireland’s finest. Enjoy the extensively equipped Pool and Fitness Gym facilities where you can take a dip in the 25m Fina Standard Swimming Pool and follow this with a visit to the Health Suite with Sauna, Steam Room and Jacuzzi. Or perhaps work out for fitness or pleasure in the Gym where an experienced staff member will be on hand to offer instruction and advice.

Young children will love the Toddler Fun Pool with aqua play features.  The Watershed also run a popular Multi-Activity Camp programme specially developed for children of primary school age, throughout the school holiday periods – the ideal way to keep your children active and entertained while you take part in some local retail therapy or sightseeing.

Astroturf

There is two All Weather Pitches – one separate caged five-a-side pitch and one full size soccer pitch.  The full size pitch can be divided into three individual seven-a-side playing areas, which are divided by a partition.  Fully floodlit and have removable soccer goals.

Athletics Track and Grass Infield Pitch

The Athletics Track is a 400m 6 Lane Track with a superior synthetic training surface and includes a steeplechase water jump, shot putt/hammer cage, javelin area, long jump and high jump areas.  Included in this area is a full size natural grass infield pitch.  Also fully floodlit with removable goals, there is ample viewing opportunity for spectators in front of our main building and in the sheltered spectator area.

The watershed is suitable for a huge variety of games and activities including – school/corporate sports days, outdoor birthday parties, children’s camps, individual and group training, boot camps, team sports, outdoor fitness classes and team building events.
