Kilkenny Countryside Park

Overview

Kilkenny Countryside Park is a former landfill site that has been given a new lease of life and turned into an area of beauty. Located just 5km north of Kilkenny City offers the public access to the countryside.

Kilkenny Countryside Park is Kilkenny’s first park with a dedicated dog-friendly enclosure.

The new park has three themed trails, the Mass Path Trail which starts at Dunmore village, along with an Accessibility Trail and a Biodiversity Trail.

There’s also a myriad of other attractions including two ball walls, a bespoke viewing area, play and exercise equipment and novel relaxing spaces that even includes hammocks and loungers.
